VII International Conference on the Chemistry of Carbenes and Related Intermediates will beheld on June 23—26, 2003, in Kazan at the A. E. Arbuzov Institute of Organic and PhysicalChemistry of the Kazan Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The Conference is organized by the Russian Academy of Sciences, N. D. Zelinsky Institute ofOrganic Chemistry of the RAS, A. E. Arbuzov Institute of Organic and Physical Chemistry of the KazanResearch Center of the RAS, St. Petersburg State University, Russian Foundation for Basic Research, and D. I. Mendeleev Russian Chemical Society.
The scientific program includes the following topics:— generation of carbenes, nitrenes, and carbene analogs;— kinetic, physical and chemical, and theoretical methods for the investigation of carbenes,
nitrenes, and other carbene analogs, and mechanisms of their transformations;— highly strained ring molecules formed by carbene reactions;— chemistry of related intermediates (biradicals, ylides, radical ions of carbene analogs);— complexes of carbenes and their analogs, involvement in catalytic processes;— application of reactions of carbenes, their analogs, and complexes in organic synthesis:
organic/organometallic synthesis, preparation of natural products and other compounds.
The Conference will comprise plenary (50 min) and invited lectures (30 min), as well asshort oral (15 min) and poster presentations.
English will be the official language of the Conference.
