Winchester Systems RS-2000 Rugged Portable Server combinesthe simplicity and portability of a laptop, the expandability and per-formance of a server, and MIL-STD 810G and IP65 compliance toprovide a mobile system that operates reliably through rough han-dling and demanding environmental conditions. The RS-2000 features a 15.6” multi-touch display with a matteanti-glare surface, and full-HD 1920x1080 resolution. A powerfulLED backlight, anti-reflective coatings, and both linear and circularpolarizers provide 800 NITs of brightness—enabling easy read-ability even in direct sunlight.This mobile server is powered by a quad-core Intel Core i7processor at clock speeds from 2.66GHz to 3.33GHz via IntelTurbo Boost Technology, and supports up to 8GB memory. Theattached expansion chassis provides slots for two full-size PCIexpress (PCIe) cards, enabling true server-class hardwareexpandability.The RS-2000 server is encased in a magnesium-alloy housing,with rubber bumpers protecting the top and side corners, and fourlarge rubber feet on the bottom. All bumpers can be easily field-replaced. The internal HDD is shock-protected and removable(SSD is also available). All built-in external ports are dust andmoisture sealed. An LED-backlit membrane keyboard (with inte-grated numeric keypad) also protects the system from dust andmoisture—including spills directly on the keyboard. All of these ultra-rugged capabilities enable the RS-2000 to be MIL-STD 810G and IP65 compliant. Advanced thermal design enables an operat-ing-temperature range of -4 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit, and up to 95% relative humidity (non-condensing), making the RS-2000 suitable fordeployment in virtually any field environment.
