The President and Directors Consolidated New Pacific Limited 145 Yonge Street Toronto, Ontario
Gentlemen:
This report describes the results of a program of geo
physical survey carried out by Cana Exploration Consultants on
18 of your mining claims in Gaudette Township, Sault Ste. Marie
Mining Division, Ontario. The results are depicted on the plan
accompanying this report.
PROPERTY. LOCATION AND ACCESS -
The 18 claims covered by the geophysical survey are
listed as follows:
SSM-70537 to SSM-70545, inclusive (9 claims) and SSM-70557, SSM-78147 to SSM-78154, inclusive.
The location is at the southeast part of Gaudette Township,
approximately 21/2 miles northeast of Searchmont - a small village
on the Algoma Cantral and Hudson Bay Railway, 25 miles north of
Sault Ste. Ma: .e.
Access was readily had by motor car from Sault Ste. Marie
to Searchmont, and from Searchmont to the south and west parts of
the property.

TOPOGRAPHY AND OEOLOOY -
Topographic feature* as noted by the geophysical
operators are depicted on the plan accompanying this report.
The first listed, or north, nine claims are at the
west part of your "East Group " of claims, the geology of
which has been described by R. Shields, geologist, In his report
to you dated October 26, 1085.
The renders are referred xo the n bo ve-s a id Shields'
report for the general geology. However, It should be noted
here that there is B chnlcopyrlte-raolybdenite-pyrrhotlte showing
known BS the Idxiak's showing located at the south O-claim jproup.
Mr. Shields described that showing as occurring In gritty basic
banded gneisses or metnvolcxnlca, which strike N. O" end dip
west at 30*- 45*. The showing wna visually estimated to be 30'
long nnd striking N. Q*, and exposing a 1. 5'- 3' width of outcrop
and loose muck. Of the 30' length, the central 10 feet was
apporently the richest, which might issay over 3ft Cu. , with
perhaps low-to-medium vtduea of MoS. possibly some Ni.

Sample* obtained by geophysical operator* from th*
id** of th* Idziak's trench *how*d heavy mineralisation of
pyrrhotite without vlelbl* chalcopyrite or molybdenite. A
test using dimethyl-glyoxlme obtained no Indlcaticm of nickel.
SURVEY DATA -
The geophysical survey wos carried out along picket
lines cut at 400' intervals east-west to cover the 18 du 1ms.
Magnetic and electromagnetic stations were established at 100
foot Intervals, except nt the electromagnetic conductors where
the check traverses were taken nt 50 foot stations.
A Sharpe Fluxgate M F-1 magnetometer nnd tt R onko
Mark IV E. M. unit with a 300 foot cable were used for the said
geophysical survey*. A detplled electromagnetic check work
was also carried out to check the electromngnetlc conductors,
using a Sharpe SE-20Q unit, but the data is not given on the pi?n
accompanying this report,
SURVEY RESULTS AND INTERPRETATION -
The mapnetometer survey outlined two narrow magnetic
anomoliea with readings in the order of 1000 gammas to 2000 gammas
ANA KX ri.OK AT10 X ro.\:sr l.TA NTS 1,1.\IITK1)
4.
In Claims SSM-78154 and SSM-70S57. The background readings
are In the order of 400 gammas to 500 gammas.
The anomalies are apparently striking north-south, and
the one outlined in SSM-70557 is apparently at the south end of a
slightly more magnetic cone which runs northerly for about two
claims and then turns northwesterly to the northwest part of the
surveyed area. These anomalies ore inferred os indicating
diabasic rock., cutting migmatite and gneisses.
The electromagnetic survey encountered two weak but
definite conductors In Claim SSM-78150, one over the known
showing nt L 20 S., 280' W. . and the other nt nbout 250' west
from the known showing. Series of check survey definitely show
the occurrence of these conductors, but fall to clearly truce their
extensions. It follows that the conductors are apparently with
limited lateral extensions. Furthermore, the conductors sre non
magnetic and associated with little variations in magnetism to
indicate their structure.

5.
CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS -
The geophysical survey outlined two small magneticj
anomalies on the property. These anomalies are Inferred as diabasic j
rocks Intruding migmatite and gneisses. :
Two weak but definite electromagnetic conductors have
been encountered at 550* and 800' to the west of one of the magnetic
anomalies, but the conductors are associated with little variations In
magnettsn to Indicate their structures. Detailed electromagnetic
check work obtained no indication of appreciable lateral extensions
of the conductors.
One of the conductors coincides closely with the known
Idxlak's showing examined and described by Ross Shields, geologist.
The cause of the other and somewhet stronger conductor Is unknown.
Since this conductor is elso located on area of hi eh ground, the writer
recommends to closely check the location of this conductor for pos
sible occurrence of favourable geological features, auch as breccia
tion and interesting mineralization, prior to possible testing by
shpllow diamond drilling.
Respectfully submitted.
