Royal Ascot is the most famous horse race in the world and a major event in Britain. Every year on the racetrack is about 500,000 visitors.
The total prize fund is more than three races and a half million pounds. The most prestigious prize, the award of which have hitherto considered the main event of the racing week - "Gold Cup", awarded to the winners at Ascot in 1807.
Racing has already become a phenomenon of international scale because of Queen Elizabeth II visits it. She always puts on the competition at least one horse. Queen example followed by other famous British.
