� Encore is installed in a standalone server.

� Fully integrated with Millennium (both use JAVA), but is compatible with different ILS.

� Encore communicate with Millennium through AJAX and web-based technology.

� An Innovative team provide:◦ Installation of Encore

◦ Technical support

◦ System maintenance

� Institutions acquiring Encore don’t intervene in its configuration, only in:◦ Shutting down and restarting the application

◦ Administrating community tags

◦ Administrating patrons that can promote relevance

� Until now, the Library has little room for customization.

� Encore is a unique platform for local collections

and journal articles.

� The goal is one search for everything.

� User can see in real time relevant results from

local collections and journal articles, but they’re

not interfiled.
