Rotary Duck Pond

The Rotary Club of Portage la Prairie has been a part of Portage la Prairie since 1950 and has contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars in community involvement.

• Some of the many community projects over the years:

• Rotary Housing Project• Rotary Park on the Island• Basketball Court at La Verendrye School• Rotary Room at Stride Place - $100,000 commitment• Rotary Republic Park - $50,000 commitment• Outdoor Score Clock at PCI• Sound System at BDO Community Centre• Also many local international projects

What:

Rejuvenation of an existing community space for the enjoyment of all citizens and guests to Portage la Prairie. Utilizing the Club’s assets and volunteers along with Partners to take on a larger project that will benefit the community for years to come.

When:

Proposed start date May 2020 – In phases as resources permit

Why:

To create a quiet/serene walking and sitting area. Improve a community asset where one can enjoy the peacefulness. Where family/wedding pictures can be taken in an incredible backdrop.
