Room 4 at the Olympics
Room 4 enjoyed finding out information about the 2016
Olympic Games as part of our HASS studies.
We discussed where they were held, and how the flame was
lit. We were amazed that the Olympic torch had run
through Manjimup for the 2000 Olympic Games, and that
the statue in town commemorated this historic event.
We talked about the flag and what the colours and rings
represented, then had a go at putting the colours in the
right places on our own flag.
We made an Olympic torch and of course we had to make
gold medals.
After some reflection, we wrote about what event we would
like to be in or what we enjoyed watching the most.
We calculated that by the next Summer Olympic Games we
would be 11, 10 or 9 years old!
