GLADIUS works perfectly with your mousepad Calibrate to conquer
The Gladius software includes an intelligent surface-calibration tool for pixel-perfect precision. Gladius analyzes and learns the surface characteristics to hone the sensor’s accuracy — and that means even better in-game responsiveness!
Calibrating Gladius is easy. Select a mousepad preset or manually calibrate to the surface: just hold down the left mouse button and move Gladius across the surface until the pointer moves — job done!
Keep moving your mouse until the pointer

Why is an optical sensor preferable to a laser sensor? Most FPS pro gamers prefer optical sensor, although laser sensors have good compatibility with many surface types, and generally track more dots per inch (DPI). So, you might conclude that laser mice are better — but wait! A laser sensor registers every last detail on the mouse surface, including microscopic imperfections, leading to jitter and inconsistent acceleration. Optical sensors are slightly pickier about surfaces but are much more forgiving of imperfections, improving accuracy and acceleration — crucial advantages for FPS games! What do you mean by ‘separate’ left and right mouse buttons? What is the benefit? The left and right buttons are physically separated from the mouse body, minimizing the required click force — and that means Gladius responds promptly to every press! What is the advantage of the two-level DPI switch? FPS gamers frequently need to lower the DPI to improve aiming accuracy. The two-level switch makes in-game DPI adjustments both simple and instant!

http://www.overclock.net/t/1493839/asus-rog-gladius-new The switch socket design— - The ability to easily swap switches looks pretty interesting - Interesting switch and cable design. Nice to see there's still a bit of innovation left in the
mouse market. - The swappable switches are pretty cool. - Looks interesting. Changing microswitches and the cable without soldering is a really
nice feature. - good, Interesting switch and cable design. - Easy replacable switches are really nice The separate left & right button— - Having the switches separate from the top shell should greatly improve the switch
feeling, I'm happy to see more mice designed this way - individual clicks which are much better then a unitop. - having click boards that are separate from the shell makes the resistance a great deal
less imo Others— - Extra switches included that are socket-able is also pretty awesome. - This mouse actually looks decent unlike most new mice.. - First asus mouse I actually did not think "lol garbage“
