Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 1 Peter 5:7

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Phil 4:6

"Do not worry then, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear for clothing?...But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

Matt 6:31, 33

A different kind of ‘fear, worry & doubt’

What does the Holy Spirit actually do?

And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

John 16:8-11

The Holy Spirit does not convict (reprove) Christians of sin.

He reproves Christians of Righteousness.

So how does the Holy Spiritreprove us of Righteousness?

*Hint: How did Jesus ‘revealed’ sins of people during his ministry?

Adulterer – punishable by deathShe said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

John 8:11Tax Collector - TraitorWhen Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.

But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.”

Luke 19:5, 8

Woman at the well – liar, bigamist“Come, see a man who told me all the things that I have done; this is not the Christ, is it?”

From that city many of the Samaritans believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, “He told me all the things that I have done.”

John 4:29, 39

The Holy Spirit is our:
