Restoration of a “Classic” By The Wooden Boat Shop

Restoration of stringers, transom, and floor begins.

1976 Century Arabian

Transom is rotted below the line. Replace and reglass.

Wood floor supports for rudder and strut rotted. Replace and reglass.

Stringers and floor rotted. Replace with “Kiln Dried“ wood and reglass.

Transom & bottom rotted wood cut out

New Mahogany Transom wood in place

New Floor wood in place.

Swim Platform, Drain plug, & Exhaust removed from Transom

Pile of rotted wood from Transom, Floor, & Port Stringer

Rotted wood from Starboard stringer.

Epoxying in the new transom wood.

All new Mahogany Wood epoxied in place.

New Mahogany stringers in place.

New Floors are being installed with High Density Plywood.

New Mahogany transom and stringers installed.

Floor wood epoxied and

fiber glassed.

Transom “doubled up”, strut and rudder wood epoxied and fiber glassed.

Installing trim tabs, exhaust, swim platform, drain plug.

Exposed floors painted with Black Epoxy paint.

Exposed floors painted with Black Epoxy paint.

Exposed floors painted with Black Epoxy paint.

New carpet installed! New carpet installed!

Underwater gear and all pieces re-installed on transom.

Interior and drivetrain Re-installed. Interior Re-installed.

Engine back in place.

The Arabian is back together and better built than new!

All buffed out and ready for the water!
