FINDING THE TECHNOLOGY LABS & HOURS

The print output center isa service provided by Academic Technology for
outputted on high-quality thermal satin semi-gloss paper. The photo plotters have a printable width of 58 inches and can print up to ten feet in length.
-Use your NetID to login to technology lab workstations. If you do not know your NetID, look up your NetID or Reset your Password at my.newschool.edu-move work from thumb drive or email to “work in progress” drive before starting or printing-take your media with you when you leave-anything left in “work in progress” will be deleted-be sure to log out when you are done
ARC or Academic Resources Center maintains and administers many of the most useful resources on campus shops, laser cutters, 3D printers, and equipment rentals. Their site has lots of information on what is available and how to use their equipment. They also have a small amount of equipment available for student rental mostly photo equipment and some audio recording devices.

RESEARCH LABSDESIS Lab: The Design and Social Innovation for Sustainability Lab (DESIS) advances the practice and discourse of design-enabled social innovation toward more sustainable cities
Drawing Lab: The Drawing Lab offers cinemetric modes of gathering information, sampling data and generating knowledge in every-day life that engages the emergent nature of cities rather than designing emergence.
Gen Y Lab: The goal and the scope of GYRL is to develop research activities that focus on understanding the relationships between the members of this generation and their diverse use of communications technologies and further identify the attributes that delineate these distinctions.
REAL Lab: The work of this Research Lab is to enhance the learning opportunities of NYC public school students through the design of replicable curricular programs in art and design education.
Visualizing Finance Lab: The Visualizing Finance Lab
situations and dynamics can be explained through visual, metaphorical and narrative representations.
Fashion Praxis Lab: The aim of the Fashion Praxis lab is to bring together scholars and practitioners who seek to examine and expand current notions of fashion, including its practices and modes of production.
O Studio: A research, advisory and project leadership unit that builds innovation opportunities in situations of economic and social change in local settings globally.
