The Awakening
The Awakening is a series of art work that begun in 2008 and continued till late 2011. It marked my
journey of leaving my medications and moving away from conventional understanding of
psychosis and schizophrenia.
The process of creation was entirely influenced by the voices I heard therefore the expressive
quality of the work is very raw and has not incorporated any particular technique or style.
Many works do not exist as I have either burnt them or found other methods for their destruction.
Works that are on hold mean they are still getting cleaned and touched up owing to unfavourable
weather conditions to work and storage issues. These paintings are for sale however final works
might not turn out to be as similar. It requires a minimum of 3 months for me to confirm if it is
completely dried and available for shipping. You can always commission a piece too.
