Our Mission

Relay For Life of Bermuda’s Mission

To raise awareness and funds to support access to cancer prevention programmes, early detection and treatment services provided by Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre.

Sharing our Mission

At the virtual event we will:

• Celebrate survivors for what they have overcome @ 6:00pm, May 15th via Facebook live

• Remember those lost to the disease and those fighting the disease @ 9:00pm, May 15th via Facebook live

• Fight Back and inspire participants to take action against a disease that has taken too much @ 12pm, May 16th via Facebook live

Where the money goes

97% of funds raised stay in Bermuda and support Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre.

3% funds Global Relay For Life's cancer control initiatives worldwide.

Why we Relay

Because of RelayOpened the radiation therapy unit, RFL was the largest contributor raising and donating $2.2million

We have the opportunity to interact with over 5,000 people every year who share the same vision….a world without cancer!

5 Ways to get involved

Register a virtual team - your household, neighbours or friends and family from around the world. $10 donation per person, each receives a commemorative T-shirt (while supplies lasts).

Celebrate Survivors - survivors are invited to submit their picture or 15-sec video of themselves walking (your driveway, garden, previous Relay events).

5 Ways to get involved

Participate in the Luminaria - purchase a virtual Luminaria May 15 at 9pm join Bermuda Relay on Facebook and light up your homes and yards with bags, lanterns, flashlights and show Bermuda that you Remember survivors lost, survivors fighting cancer, caregivers and the cancer services who support them.

Fundraise - please consider making a personal or family donation, host a virtual fundraiser or plan a fundraiser for later in the year. Relay For Life is a year-long movement, and because cancer never sleeps, our efforts are needed year-round. Raise $100 for Relay For Life and receive a special thank you gift.

Share - since word-of-mouth is the most powerful tool, tell friends and family about this virtual event. Re-post the social media posts shared through BermudaRelay on Facebook and Instagram.
