Examples are given for applications requiring on/off and modulating control and how to determine which valve will best meet a particular system’s requirements. Includes a discussion of technical issues related to altitude valves, including operational theory, proper sizing, installation, operation, maintenance and trouble shooting. Hands-on stations allow students to review preventative maintenance, visual illustration of how altitude valves and pressure reducing valves operate, preventive and corrective maintenance, and component identification for both valves.

Course objectives will be met by presenting background/theory, incorporating practical applications of analytical testing and thorough hands- on experience, using portable field use and laboratory instruments.
