Definition: -RED TACTON is a new Human Area Networking

technology that uses the surface of the human body as a safe, high-speed network transmission path.

History: -Mar 2, 2005 Nippon Telegraph and Telephone

Corporation (NTT, headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. President and CEO, Norio Wada) together with Hitachi, Ltd. and MIWA LOCK Co., Ltd developed Red Tecton Technology.

FEATURES OF RED TACTON

• Touching, gripping, sitting, walking, stepping and other human movements can be the triggers for unlocking or locking, starting or stopping equipment, or obtaining data.

Where this technology is been used now and what can be its future use: -

• It is used in the room-access control system• A major feature of this system is that office security can be enforced

through intuitive human action.• In a place such as a factory, a security system that uses an IC card with a

strap that the employee wears around their neck could be dangerous if the card or strap became entangled in a machine.

• Two people equipped with RedTacton devices could exchange data just by shaking hands.

• printing control systems that output only your documents when you touch the printer

• Cabinet control systems that give user’s access to only the documents that they're authorized to view by merely touching the cabinet.

• In cars to imply you’re settings by just a touch, even to start the car.

HAN(human area network)

In future where it can be used: -

• Medical line i.e. in medicines, when any person is allergenic to something and comes in contact alarm rings.

• Military purpose. Registered person can only use arms and ammunitions.
