Traffic congestion makes for noisy and polluted environment

Parking is poorly designed (both on and off street) and in reality simply ugly

How to improve matters - 1

Reduce traffic congestion by redesigning parking

Change pedestrian crossings to improve flow of traffic

Change street layout to provide central refugesResult = easier crossing for pedestrians at any point
