High-Level Architecture – Before

Dedicated server solution for IIS and SQL. Not enough SAN space for all servers,

most SQL servers utilized slower DAS. Equates to a lack of flexibility, reduced

scalability, and greater licensing and rack costs.

High-Level Architecture - Now Virtualized/blade server environment.

14 blade servers, 3 rack mount servers, 25 VM’s

High speed SAN storage available for all servers, with SQL utilizing EFD’s.

Scalability achieved with less cost and greater speed.

Virtualization reduces licensing costs and hardware costs.
