Rangoli and Bandhanwar Making Competition
An Interhouse Rangoli and Bandhanwar making competition was organized for the students of
class XI on the occasion of Deepawali. The students unleashed their artistic aptitude and
creativity by using paints to make traditional Rangoli designs. The corridors of Senior wing
seemed alive with myriad hues adorning its floors and doors.
CREATIVE PEARL COMPETITION 2019
Pearl Academy Noida organized a CREATIVE PEARL COMPETITION 2019 on 11th
October 2019 in which STUDENTS of class XI PARTICIPATED. In the event,
FASHION FORGE, the students bagged the II prize and in the ‘Rapid Fire’, they
secured the I position. A team of three students worked with lazer cut paper sheets and
made an extraordinary garment. Another team of three students worked with 3d
material and made fashion illustration on paper.
Mega Career Fair
Delhi Public School Ghaziabad organized a Mega Career Fair with renowned universities in
partnership with the International Mobility and Relations on October 15, 2019 in the school
premises. The representatives of 19 universities guided the students to explore diverse career
options and appropriate higher education routes so as to enable them to determine the steps they
need to take to equip themselves in this competitive scenario.
It was an opportunity for the students to seek counseling and discuss the different educational
courses and avenues that these universities offer. Eminent universities like American University
of Bulgaria, Bennet University, Mayooth University Ireland,, Queen Mary University of London,
Eston University, England, Limerick University, Ireland, Strathclyde University, Scotland, IE
Spain, Indian School of Business and Finance, Ashoka University, SRM university, OP Jindal
Global University, Pearl Academy, Indian School of Hospitality, Ansal University, BM Munjal
University, Manipal University, Shiv Nadar University had put up the stalls. It proved to be an
effective platform for students who are interested in pursuing higher education in India and
abroad.
Workshop on BEST OUT OF WASTE
A BEST OUT OF WASTE workshop, ‘KATRAN’ was conducted by resource persons from
Pahal organization , Preet Vihar. The students of class XI participated in a best out of waste
activity by making use of materials like old discarded plastic bottles, newspapers , jute strings ,
old cartons , fevicol etc. Several prizes were also given to the students who had designed
innovative articles like bird feeder, pen stand, diya holder, chandelier and more.
A Workshop on Shibori and Making Sustainable Bags
A workshop on making sustainable bags was conducted in DPSG MEERUT road by
Neeti Bhatia on 15th October 2019. The resource persons were Ms Maya (German
nationality) and Ms Akanshi. The students made patches using jute, felt , needles ,
iron nail, anchor threads etc. And learnt embroidery and zero waste management
techniques. Ms Seema Chaudhary conducted a workshop on the topic, ‘Shibori’ based on tie/dye technique from Japan where geometrical shapes are retained after dyeing.
Students learnt tying techniques followed by the process of dyeing and had a hands on
experience and learnt how to beautify fabric
.
INTER SCHOOL COMMERCE FEST- VANIJYA MAHOTSAV 2019
Delhi Public School Ghaziabad organized the 5th INTER SCHOOL COMMERCE FEST-
VANIJYA MAHOTSAV 2019. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Mr. Anil Kumar
Upadhyay, a renowned Financial Educator and a faculty with BSE. A plethora of competitions
was conducted which saw the enthusiastic participation of teams from various reputed schools of
NCR. The high standard of entrepreneurial and innovative skills coupled with the confidence and
creativity of the participants mesmerized the guests and the judges. Delhi Public School
Ghaziabad emerged as the overall champion but being the host school, the trophy was handed
over to Seth Anandram Jaipuria, Vasundhara, the first runner up team.
AI- Enabled SEWA Program for Students
It’s a matter of great pride that Delhi Public School Ghaziabad is one of the few schools shortlisted for the prestigious CBSE AI-Enabled SEWA Program. A workshop for the students
of classes IX -XII was conducted in two sessions by IBM trained experts in the school campus. It
gave an opportunity to the students to be innovative and creative. Three teams of students from
each of the selected schools were provided hands-on -training and mentoring by IBM experts for
advanced prototype development and on ground implementation of projects, through a 5-stage
process. In the final stage, the top forty students from across the schools will be selected for
Capstone Project which will be showcased at various national and international forums.
Inter School Literary Fest at DPSG Faridabad
Students of Delhi Public School Ghaziabad participated in Literary Fest in DPSG Faridabad on
October 22, 2019. Vrinda Gupta of XI CD won the first prize in extempore at DPSG Faridabad.
Celebration of 'Rashtriya Ekta Diwas'
On the occasion of 'Rashtriya Ekta Diwas' students of class IX, X and XI co- hosted a special
assembly. The importance and essence of unity were highlighted through poems and speeches.
The vision of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel was discussed and shared with the school. The students
took a pledge for preserving and promoting unity, solidarity and security of the nation. An essay
writing competition was also organized to mark the occasion.
Tapping the TECNOPHILES
The technophiles of DPSG once again made their alma mater proud by bagging the II position
and a cash prize of Rs 1100 at Indraprastha Engineering college innovative product prototype
making competition on the topic ‘Design Thinking’.
Inter school IT competition
An Inter school IT competition was organized by Jagran Public school Noida in which Arpita
Gaur and Gungun Saraswat of class 11 A4 won first prize in the event ‘Java Coding’ and Tanush
Goel and Dev Goel of 11 A4 won the second prize in Quiz respectively.
5th INTER SCHOOL IT FEST- INFINITUS
‘Competition gives us energy and keeps us focused.’
Information technology is interweaved in every sphere of our existence. Realizing its
importance, Delhi Public School Ghaziabad organized the 5th INTER SCHOOL IT FEST-
INFINITUS on 11th October, 2019 on the theme ‘Cloud Computing – Today and Beyond’. The event saw the participation from various reputed schools from Delhi and NCR. Prof. Ashiv Shah,
the Head of Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College-TIFAC CORE was the Chief Guest on the
occasion.
The Mega event commenced with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony followed by the
welcome of the guests. The enthusiastic participants unfurled their abilities and won accolades
by participating in various IT competitions. The Chief Guest appreciated the efforts of the school
for acquainting the children with Cloud Computing. The overall trophy was bagged by DPSG
Meerut Road but being the host school, it was handed over to DPSG Vasundhara. DPS Rajnagar
Extension secured the overall runners up trophy.
DPSG MUN’19
Delhi Public School Ghaziabad organized the hits 6th edition of DPSG MUN 2019, Ex-Altera
Parte in which students from various schools participated with the motto of bringing peace and
tranquility in the world. Sri Krishna Adhikari, Secretary General, Universal Peace Federation
graced the opening ceremony of DPSG MUN as the chief guest. Ms Shikha Darbari, Joint
Secretary, Rajya Sabha graced the closing ceremony of DPSG MUN as the Chief Guest.
Delegates debated for three consecutive days showcasing their excellent diplomatic skills. There
were six committees in DPSG MUN which constituted of different agendas with regard to world
peace. The 6th edition of DPSG MUN focussed on the motto of respecting other’s point of view. It gave all the delegates a great learning experience.
IMS Model United Nations Conference- 2019
DPSG Meerut Road took part in IMS Model United Nations Conference 2019 at IMS
Ghaziabad. Sarthak Goel of 11 H 2 won High Commendation with a certificate and cash prize of
Rs 2000/, and Nandini Sharma of 11- H2 received a special mention with a certificate & cash
prize of Rs. 1000/ . Palak Agarwal of 11-A- 6 also received Honourable Mention . All the
participants received the participating certificates.
Chinmaya Youth Festival 2019
The students of DPSG are well aware that one’s manners - language, behavior, and actions are a
measure of their values and principles. The youth brigade of the school focuses on personal
effectiveness, making right choices to lead their life that aligns with the core values of the school
in the most purposeful way possible. A testimony to this is the stupendous performance by Sneha
Gupta and Sanya Tyagi of class XI at Chinmaya Youth Festival 2019. Sneha Gupta bagged the
III position in Extempore competition whereas Sanya Tyagi received a standing ovation as group
leader in panel discussion.
Interactive Session With An Entrepreneur
The Global Education and Leadership Foundation, in collaboration with the Scottish
International High School, Sector 57, Gurugram, organised an interactive session for Business
and Entrepreneurship students with Mr. Ratan Mehra, an emerging entrepreneur who hails from
Gurugram. The Session was attended by students from several schools across Delhi NCR. It
primarily aimed at quenching the curiosity of students about various aspects of business and
inspiring them to pursue novel business plans in their own schools. Mr. Mehta briefed the
audience about his startup venture, ‘InnerClub' and highlighted the importance of identifying a
problem worth solving, interacting with potential and existing customers and complementary
skill sets of partners for the business to prosper. He addressed the queries of the students
associated with business in general and their business plans in particular, showing laudable
awareness and acumen. He concluded the session by advising the students to propagate their
ideas, rather than keeping them with themselves, so that valuable inputs from friends, relatives
and acquaintances can be garnered.
Genesis 2019 – Inter-School Science Festival
Students of Delhi Public School Ghaziabad participated in Genesis 2019 – Inter-School Science
Festival held at IMS College, Ghaziabad on 11 October 2019.
The young technocrats, Shrey Sharma, Yashodeep Yadav ( IBDP ), Tushar Singh of class XI
made us proud by bagging the second prize in ‘Biosplash’. Their research project and model on
making paper using water hyacinth was much appreciated by the jury members. Tejal Tyagi
bagged the second position in oral presentation competition ‘Knock Down’. Delhi Public School
Ghaziabad won the overall winner trophy.

Celebration of 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi
Celebrating the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the students of the DPSG, Meerut
Road participated in the FIT India Plogging Run organized by Noida Authority. As responsible
and aware stewards of the planet, our students presented an eco-melody in the form of rap music
with beatboxing supported by junk instruments like diesel drum dustbins bucket oil tin cans etc
in the grand event at Noida Stadium, sector 21A to mark the occasion.
Interactive session with Raghavendra Rathore
DPSG always believes in providing the students with opportunities for myriad career choices as
per their interest and stream of academics and regularly invites professionals from various walks
of life to the school for counselling sessions and workshops. Furthering the endeavor, the school
invited Mr. Raghavendra Rathore, celebrated Indian Fashion and Interior Designer with a team
of Gurukul School of Design and representatives from Edu TV on 4th October 2019 for an
interactive session with the student community. The invigorating session saw the participation of
students from reputed schools of NCR as well. Speaking to the students, the ace designer Mr.
Raghavendra Rathore, guided the students about how it is imperative to develop social skills,
visual imagination & knowledge of market trends in tandem with dreams envisioned. Answering
the queries of the students Mr. Rathore emphasized the fact that the world is shifting base and
how technology is changing the way we understand spaces and designs. Focusing on the
versatility of the field, he gave many useful and essential tips to the students which will go a long
way in helping students explore their creative domains.
