• A lot of the rental room appear all around the industrial area

• Condominiums and high rise buildings was built along the main road and the Chao Praya river such as SV Riverside building and PM tower which place at Rama 3 Rd., PST Condo (the huge condominium building) located on Nonsi Rd.

• The communities in Rama 3 area are 26 communities; 17 communities established by BKK local government and 9 communities established by populations or private organization.

Commercial Land-use

• Wholesale and retail are Tesco-Lotus, Rungcharoen market, Bangpongphang market and groceries.They are located along Sathupradit and Nonseeroad.The important shop is New Siangkong 3 that sell and buy second hand spare part and engine.

• Office buildings and Banks are distributed along main roads.The main roads are Rama3 road and Sathupradit road.Theinteresting offices are the branches of banks, The head quarter of Audhya Bank and training center of Bandkok bank.

• The services are pub and restaurants, distributed along Rama 3 and Sathupradit road.

Industrial and Warehouses Land-use

• Industrial in study area mostly metal industrial, plastic and spare part.

• The industrial areas are soiNaksuwan and Nonsee road.

• There are huge industrial factories (more than 1,000 employees) and small enterprises (1-4 employees)

• Warehouses mostly coverage on large land located along Chao Phraya river and Rama 3 road such as Kitti warehouse and Theppanich Company.

Academic and Religious Land-use• The religion landuse

are temple in Buddish,Mosque in Islam, church in christand shrine, located along Chao phrayariver such as Thongbontemple,Pariwastemple,Dan temple and Klongphoomtemple.

• There are many level of educations in this area such as kindergarten, primary school and secondary school.Total of them are 12 schools and located on temple area such as Klongphoomschool, Pariwasschool, Dokmaischool,Dan school and Chongnonsee school.

Governmental Land-use

• There are Yannawagovernment office,Chongnonseewater quality control factory,health service center,fire station and sub electrical station

Recreational and Vacant Land-use

• Recreation area mostly in temple,school and under expressway. Yannawa has 17 sport yards and green area such as LankrataiChalermphrakiatGarden.

PROJECT : THE INDUSTRIAL BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION AND NEW SHORT-CUT CHANNEL CONSTRUCTION.

• DESIGN OBJECTIVE : THE BRIDGE WILL LINK BETWEEN RAMA III DISTRICT AND BANGAJAO ISLAND IN ORDER TO DECREASE TRAFFIC FROM RAMA III ROAD AND ADVANTAGES ON INDUSTRIAL TRANSPORTATION. THE CHANNEL WILL SLOVE THE FLOODING PROBLEM IN BANGAJOA ISLAND.

• ECONOMICAL BENEFITS : WHEN TRANSPORTATION IS MORE CONVENIENCE AND TAKE SHORTER TIME, THE COST OF PRODUCTION WILL REDUCE. PEOPLE IN BANGAJOA ISLAND CAN GROW MORE PRODUCTS WHEN THERE IS NO FLOODINGS.

• SOCIAL BENEFITS : WHEN THE PRODUCTION COST IS REDUCED, PEOPLE CAN AFFORD BETTER QUALITY OF LIFE. MOREOVER, PEOPLE IN BANGAJAO ISLAND DON’T NEED TO SUFFER FROM THE FLODDING ANYMORE.

• ECOLOGICAL IMPACT : • 1. LOSING REGULATION FUNCTION

OF THE AREA. BANGAJOA ISLAND USED TO ACT AS A RETENTION POND FOR THE MAIN LAND(BANGKOK). AFTER THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW CHANNEL AND THE RETAINING WALL WHICH WRAP AROUND THE ISLAND , WATER WILL NOT FLOW INTO THE ISLAND. THIS EFFECTS THE AGRICULTURAL ACTIVITIES INSIDE THE AREAS WHICH USE THE FLOODING AS THE WATER SUPPLY. BESIDES, THE MAINLAND IS GOING TO HAVE FLOODING INSTEAD.

• 2. IF WATER WILL NOT FLOW PASS THE ISLAND , THE PROCESS OF ERSION AND SEDIMENTAL THAT HAVE BEEN GOING ON FOR CENTURIES WILL STOP. THE ENRICHMENT OF THE SOIL FOR AGRICULTURE WILL DECREASE AND SO DO THE PRODUCTIONS.

-According to the opening and riverside areas ,is using the beautiful atmospheres of both areas . Most of areas are still garden. It can be adapted to be a park for the community and reflect the living style in the past

- Trying to make Job and Housing balance by arranging appropriate between the business and accommodation area to spend less time in transporting

-Supporting the project to be Pedestrian Friendly are, Footpath has to be widely and clean. Try to increase Mass transit which use electricity power.
