Fried Rice

3 cups uncooked minute rice (brown or white)

2 ½ cups water

3 tablespoons oil

1 onion, finely chopped

1 cup frozen peas, thawed (or other vegetables)

4 eggs, beaten

2 tablespoons Soya sauce

½ teaspoon pepper

1 cup cooked, bite-sized pieces of pork, chicken, beef, caribou, muskox, fish, or shrimp (optional)

3 green onions, sliced (optional)

Choose country foods and healthy store-bought foods for a strong body.

Cook 3 cups of minute rice. Follow package instructions, but only use 2 ½ cups of water instead of 3 cups.

Turn heat to medium. Mix in cooled rice and thawed peas. Cook for 3 minutes, stirring frequently.

If using, sprinkle green onions on top.

Put rice on a plate and let cool. This is an important step!

Pour beaten eggs into rice mixture. Cook until eggs are fully cooked, stirring frequently.

Heat oil in pan on medium high. Add onion and cook until soft.

Stir in soya sauce.
