World Languages
The purpose of the NJROTC program is to instill in students the values of citizenship, service, personal responsibility and a sense of accomplishment.
JROTC is NOT a military recruiting program
JROTC is also NOT a “boot camp” program for students with behavior issues. Students who cannot accept taking orders from other students, who cannot handle constructive criticism, and who have trouble complying with school regulations will not enjoy JROTC and will likely fail the course, in the process making the course less fulfilling for the other students.

Can I change my schedule?◦ NO. After the 1st 10 days of school no schedules will be
changed unless there is a problem with core courses. Can I pick my teachers?
◦ NO. You are placed in classes according to the space available.
How many classes can I miss?◦ If you miss more than 10 days of any class (excused,
unexcused, or OSS) you will fail.◦ You may be able to arrange make-up time with the
teachers after school or on the weekend. Each minute you miss must be made up (1 class = 90 minutes).
