BUILDING STRONG®
Centralized Furnishings Program FY12 Program Changes
Huntsville Center is following GAO ruling (270483,96-1 CPD P 146, 1996 WL 106646 (Comp.Gen.)) that does not allow the award of items that are not on a schedule holder’s contract, including different dimensions.
Vendors’ price lists and GSA contracts must reflect the actual items they have on schedule.
The centralized furnishings program is undergoing process reviews that will result in changes, both permanent changes and pilot projects.

BUILDING STRONG®
What is Not Working Well
Increased instances of “cutting corners” resulting in performance and delivery issues
Metal furnishings capacity, contract issues and inconsistent quality have impacted missions
