Always remember:
Parentheses and quotation marks come in pairs.
Ellipses come in threes.
Commas are used with three or more items in a series.
Dashes are used to draw attention, add information, or
set off ideas while hyphens are used to connect words.

Always remember:
The colon is used after the greeting in a formal letter.
Periods and commas are always placed inside quotations.
Colons and semicolons are always placed outside quotations.
Question marks, exclamation points, and dashes are placed inside
quotations if they belong to the quoted statement and outside if they do
not.
