Effective public speaking involves various elements:

• Volume- quantity or power of sound; degree of loudness• Rate- speed or pace of a speech• Emphasis- special importance or value given to something• Articulation- act or process of speaking or expressing in words • Organization- message should be simple, direct, and clear• Word Choice- selecting the appropriate words to convey your

message accurately and persuasively

Good communication skills help you succeed in school and at work, improve your relationships with family and friends, and deal with challenges.
