Psychological Services/AssessmentsFor children who have already received a diagnosis ofASD and their families, L4Life offers psychologicalservices and assessments that include the VinelandAdaptive Behaviour Scales, the Wechsler Preschooland Primary Scale of Intelligence IV and theWechsler Intelligence Scale for Children IV.

Fair Access ProgramThis program continues to be fundamental to ourmission. Through our Fair Access initiative, we subsidise,as much as possible, our EIBI programs for families infinancial need. We raise these subsidies throughfundraising events, private donations and grants.Subsidy availability varies yearly depending on ourrevenue from these activities.

About ABABeginning with Dr Ivar Lovaas’s 1987 landmark study, nearly 30 years of research support the effectivenessof ABA-based interventions in helping young childrenwith Autism reach their potential.

The Australian Government’s 2012 ‘Guidelines forGood Practice’ for children with Autism acknowledgesABA as the only effective early intervention therapythat is based on established research evidence.

AdvocacyIn addition to our services, we actively advocate forincreased public and private sector awareness ofABA’s effectiveness, and the need for those sectors’financial support. We conduct this advocacy throughresearch on our outcomes and by partnering withother Australian ABA organisations.

Our MotivationIn 2004, a group of parents and professionals from themedical, behavioural therapy, business strategy andmedia fields created L4Life. Having witnessed ABA-basedEIBI therapy’s high effectiveness in treating children withAutism—and its very high costs—they were determinedto help make it available to children with ASD,regardless of their financial circumstances.
