The key role of Abraham

• Abraham was the father of Ishmael by Hagar and Isaac by Sarah (1 Chronicles 1:27-28)

• Ishmael is the father of many of the Arab nations and by tradition the forefather of Muhammad (Genesis 16:11-12 & 17:20-21)

• Isaac through Jacob is the father of the Jewish nation (Deuteronomy 29:13 & Psalm 105:6-10)

• And through his son Esau (Edom), father of other Arab nations (1 Chronicles 1:35 onwards)

• Hagar and Ishmael are banished to protect Isaac’s birthright (Genesis 21:9-14)

• Esau loses his birthright to Jacob and plots to kill him (Genesis 27:41-45)

• Ishmael and Edom (Esau) plan to destroy the nation of Israel (Psalm 83:1-8)

• Israel will only be delivered from her enemies through Jesus Christ (Luke 1:68-75)

terrorist group Fatah • He masterminded the

Munich massacre • He wrote a PhD thesis and

book denying the Holocaust• He rejects Israel's right to

exist as a Jewish state

Continuing hatred against Israel• 1948 – Egypt, Transjordan, Syria, Lebanon

and Persia pledge to: “wipe the Zionist state off the map”

• 2005 – Ahmadinejad, Iran’s president: “Israel must be wiped off the map”

• 2011 – Palestinian Mission publishes a map removing Israel & showing the whole of Palestine under the Palestinian flag

• 2013 – American Muslim rally in California denies Israel’s right to exist

“They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:” Psalm 83:4-5

“And at that time shall Michael [Jesus] stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.” Daniel 12:1

Ezekiel’s prophecy

• In the last days before Christ’s return the King of the North will invade Israel

• Ezekiel identifies the King of the North as Russia assisted by her allies

• Her allies will include: “Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:” Ezekiel 38:5

Can we be amongst the redeemed?

“Therefore the redeemed of the Lord shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.” Isaiah 51:11
