Prop Reason why/InspirationLeather Jacket/Dark clothing This item of clothing is a

staple of the genre and creates connotations that genre of fans are attracted to.

Dark clothes (Shirts/vests) Dark colours are a common theme, as well as tattered clothing with rough imagery is the norm/expected.

Guitar/Bass/Microphone These are all easily recognizable instruments. Drums would create too much editing effort h due to the many edges a drum set will have, and depending on the background of where the drum set is placed.

Possible makeup I will either apply normal makeup applied to models or perform all modifications (Spot removal) in Photoshop. Certain genres, from my research, of music have interest in makeup (e.g ‘Corpse-Paint’ for Black Metal).

Nikon DSLR – D3100 To take all the images needed to be edited. Digital so images can be transferred and edited.

Jacket For Editor Photo – Jacket with large amount of pockets/zips to match the metal/alternative aesthetic.

Leather Gloves Editor Photo – Gloves , particularly fingerless, are a common clothing item in metal culture.

Cigarette For cover main image, model will be holding a lit cigarette. Matches with convention/matches with name of cover band.

Tripod To take still, steady shots
