A Presentation from

Many years ago, after so many reports of school violence and news stories of what seemed like a string of school shootings, I was being asked by teachers to talk to students about a bullying &

school violence. I was resistant. After many years working with youth in a variety of settings including with ‘at risk’ youth and

behavior contracts, I just wanted to be a motivational speaker; I just wanted to speak to students about positive topics like goal

setting and life choices.

Then I came across the quote from Dr. King featured in this presentation.

That quote inspired an epiphany for me to address school violence and bullying AND be motivational and inspirational. I learned it was

NOT either / or it was both.

In that one quote I realized the solution to violence is for good people to no longer remain silent and passive.

Students of ALL AGES CAN & MUST DO GOOD EVERYDAY to make a positive difference in their life,

their community and in their world.

This is my presentation Promoting PeaceLet me know what YOU think.byron@speaktostudents.com
