Introduction• Department was re-established at 1995• Four study programs:

• Bachelor of architecture (LT+ENG)• Master of architecture• Master of town and country planning• PhD

• ~250 students• 24 teaching staff employees (full and part time): 2

professors, 12 assoc. prof., 8 lecturers, 1 assistant, etc.

• EIA• SEIA• Complex modeling of urban structures and urban frame

• Visual quality of landscape• Cultural heritage• Recreational potential of the territories• Ecological architecture

Projects• INTERREG IIIB “Baltic Fort Route”• COST actions:

• C11 Urban Green Structure • TU0602 Land Management for Urban Dynamics • TU0902 Integrated assessment technologies to support the sustainable development of

urban areas.

• POLARIS (Marie Curie International Research Staff Exchange Scheme (IRSES).

• Two national research projects financed by LAS:• Spatial urban structure and security of inhabitants• Military architecture in Lithuania

• Investigation of urban potential of spatial structure for Kaunas master plan and preparation of the concept
