3. MACHINES WITH CARD CONTROLA card programmer allows the machine to be equipped with a great number of washing programs. Aprogram can be activated by a selection of a properly perforated programmatic card.
3.1. CARD PROGRAMMERThe machine is controlled by the card programmer K24 (24 programming paths). The programming card isdivided into 60 steps. The length of one step is 1 minute. Programming paths are marked by serial numbers1 - 24 and individual steps are marked with numbers 1 - 60 on the sides of the card.A thick transversal line is drawn on each programming card, which indicates the position of inserting thecard into the programmer at the start up of a washing program. A position of this starting line is different forvarious types of programmers. Each card represents only one washing program. If you wish to select another program, change the programming card.The advance of a programming card is provided by a synchronous motor through plastic gears on theperforation in the middle of the card.The conversion of the slots in the programming card to an electric signal is provided by a row of 24microswitches with balance beams, which are spaced from each other to the pitch of the card programmingpaths. The contact 1 - 2 is switched on at the moment of a slot in the programming card, the contact 1 - 4 inthe remaining time. When the card is with drawn from the programmer, contacts 1 - 2 on all microswitchesare switched on.
3.2. THERMOSTATUsing of this thermostat, you can set-up three temperatures for the card programmer, by means of thebuttons B, D and F, fig. 2.2. pos 2. Temperature can be set from 30°C to 90 °C on each button in twelvesteps. Each number corresponds to certain temperature as indicated in the scale on the thermostat. Thepreset temperatures can be obtained - when making a program - by punching the corresponding track .Near selected temperature button the LED indicator will be turned on, fig. 2.2 pos 1, 3, 4. When heatingworks to reach a required temperature, the proper LED HEAT is on.

4. PROGRAMMING4.1. PROGRAMMING CARD PERFORATIONMaking a perforation of an original programming card according to the selected program, do it by means ofspecial pliers K01 STANDARD or K02 PROFESSIONAL, which can be ordered under the code PRI-809-000-061.

4.2. PRINCIPLES OF CARD PROGRAMMINGWhen making a programming, it is important to have the electrical and water scheme of the machine, tobetter understand the machine function and to properly use all possibilities of the card programmer. It isnecessary to know the kind of heating (electric or steam or hot water). For the programming action use onlythe special jig - see fig. 3.1.– Filling with 3 types of water: cold soft, cold hard and warm - if they are connected - or a steam inlet.– When FILLING UP with water DIRECTLY, hoppers to not be rinsed out.– Flushing out of hoppers with washing detergents you obtain by perforation of the paths for hoppers.– Selection of a washing bath level is LOW or HIGH LEVEL.– If you require the program not to continue before a demanded temperature has been reached, you have to perforate
the path for HYDROSTOP at a filling up with water.– To obtain the required temperature, use a path by three temperatures being set up on potentiometers B, D, F of the
thermostat in the range of 30 - 90°C.– If you require the program not to continue before a required temperature has been reached, you must - together with
the temperature path - punch the path for THERMOSTOP and for the path of HYDROSTOP.– Draining of water to be provided by punching of the path for DRAINING.– The SPINNING at low r.p.m. to be programmed in the same time with DRAINING, in order the discharge valve to be
opened up. The machine will not start the spinning before the water level falls down to a safety level.– When washing delicate linen and always during heating - use the track GENTLE REVERSION. The motor action time
is reduced, pauses are prolonged and thus the wear out of the linen is decreased. The gentle reversion presents 3 secof washing, 12 sec of rest. The NORMAL REVERSION is 12 sec of washing and 3 sec of rest.
– Do the programming of the path for COOLING DOWN always after the main wash (at the temperature of 60 or 90°C),in order to get the temperature slowly decreased, avoiding a thermal shock and possible agglutination of detergents.
– If you don't use soap hoppers located on the machine and you want to use liquid detergents instead or if the machine isconnected to a central dosing, please, use the path for switching on the PUMPS.
– The track for OPENING OF THE DOOR is always programmed at the end of a washing cycle with certain delay afterthe path of spinning. The delay is necessary for untwisting of the linen after spinning. Programming of this path willprovide a sound signal for the end of washing cycle and will unlock the door.

4.4. PROGRAMMING EXAMPLEConditions for a composition of this program are followings– inlets up to three waters (cold soft, cold hard and warm water)– using of adjustable thermostat– powdery soaps are dosed, machine hoppers are used– liquid soap pumps are not usedThe total time of washing cycle is longer then the sum total of individual operations, because the cardmovement stops when water filling, washing bath heating, and machine goes to the spinning operation.The wash program described here is only an example how to make your own programs and what rules toobserve. Should you have any doubts, we recommend to contact your supplier, possibly a detergentmanufacturer.

4.5. WATER INLET AND HEATING AT PREWASHINGSee cycle 1(fig. 3.4.A) and cycle 1(fig. 3.4.B).
WATER INLETWater filling, requirement for higher water level and a soap hopper is programmed in the same time.However it is possible to program the hopper also a moment before the water filling, which will provide aquality rinsing of the hopper.The hopper rinsing is finished when the water reaches a demanded level.The HYDROSTOP path must beprogrammed with a small delay after the required water and the level.The function of this path does notallow the program to continue before demanded level and temperature is achieved.If the path is programmed earlier (before water filling), the program would be blocked.
HEATING DURING PREWASHTemperature is chosen with a short delay after programming of HYDROSTOP and THERMOSTOP path(see 3.4.B).This will secure that the heating is switched on always after the water level is achieved.THERMOSTOP path is programmed during the whole period of heating in order that the advance of theprogramming card is stopped for each additional heating. If there is not demand for to stop the programduring the additional heating, only the path of required temperature is to be programmed.A gentle reversion is recommended during the laundry soaking and the wash bath heating. It is chosen bypunching the proper path.
4.6. SPINNINGSee cycles 2, 6, 8 in fig.3.4.A and cycles 2, 10 in fig. 3.4.BLength of the cut in the path 19 must be two divisions minimum (2 min.). This time period is needed toprovide operations which compose the path function: selection of the right direction for spinning, draining,distribution and spinning.The spinning selection blocks some of the machine functions, for example: water filling, heating, reversion,hopper control.
LOW SPINNING
Spinning with low rotations is to be programmed in path 19.
WITH SOFT MOUTED AND RIGID MOUTER, NON-CABINET MACHINES, YOUCAN PROGRAM SPINNING AT LOW (19) OR HIGH (19+20) REVOLUTIONS.
4.7. WATER FILLING AND HEATING DURING WASHINGSee cycles 3 (fig.3.4.A) and 3 and 4 (fig. 3.4.B).Water filling and rinsing the soap hopper after spinning are to be programmed with a partial overlap with thespinning path.This allows filling of water and detergents into the drum in the period when rotations of thedrum are decreasing after spinning and inletting water slows down the drum in the same time.Remaining principles for filling waters, heating and reversion are the same as principles stated in chapter3.5. WATER INLET AND HEATING AT PREWASHING.
4.8. WASHING BATH COOLING DOWNSee the end of cycle 3 (fig.3.4.A) and a cycle 5 (fig. 3.4.B).Cooling down progresses usually after the main wash of combined textiles-polyester-cotton in the mannerthat cold water is slowly feeded in the washer to reach a higher level.Cold water filling to be programmed inpath 12. Cooling down is finished automatically by reaching a high water level.After the wash bath is cooled down, the drain off (path 18) or spinning (path 19) are usually programmed.
4.9. DRAININGSee cycles 4 (fig. 3.4.A) and 6, 8, 12 (fig. 3.4.B).The draining selection blocks some of the machine functions like water filling, heating, reversion, hoppercontrol.

4.10. RINSINGSee cycles 5, 7, 9 (fig. 3.4.A) and 7, 9, 11, 13 (fig. 3.4.B).Mostly cold, hard water is filled up to a high water level with the function HYDROSTOP, washing rotationswith a normal reversion. After rinsing, the draining comes next .During the last rinsing you can add fabricconditioner through the hopper.
4.11. FINAL SPIN, STOPSe the cycle 10 (fig. 3.4.A).
SPINNINGThe length of the cut for low rotation spinning should be approx. 6 - 8 divisions. To program the time ofspinning longer than 10 minutes is not recommended because:– after certain time no water from linen drains off anyway– too long spinning causes a faster wear off of linen– a long spinning makes the machine service life shorter.
HIGH SPINNING
WITH SOFT MOUNTED AND RIGID MOUNTED, NON-CABINET MACHINES YOUCAN PROGRAM THE SPINNING AT LOW OR HIGH REVOLUTIONS.
See the cycle 14 (fig. 3.4.b).
A high spinning is to be programmed according to textile leinds, mostly at the end of the wash cycle:
Path 19: spin
Path 20: high spin
The length of a cut for achieving of 1 minute of spinning with high revolutions must be approx. 4 divisions(2' and 40" is the time needed for the distribution and low rotations of spinning - and after then the highspinning procedure is switched on). It means that - for instance - for 5 minutes of spinning with high r.p.m.,We must cut off 8 divisions in paths 19 and 20 of the programming card.
Finishing of high spinning:
The path 19 must be finished earlier (by about 1/2 division) then path 20 to obtain the higher spin to beswitched off, before a lower rotation spinning comes.
STOPThe space in a programmatic card between the end of spin and the path 1-"STOP", is destined for brakingdown and untwisting of linen after spinning (reversion without water).Path 1- STOP to be programmed to achieve a stop of the programming card advancement and switching onthe light signal for door opening (however this one is always switched on with a time delay). Switching on ofthe path 1 - STOP corresponds to the stop of the program by the button "O" (STOP) on the programmer.Before inserting the card and beginning of a new program it is necessary to press the button "I" (START) onthe programmer.
4.12. SWITCHING ON THE DOSING PUMPS
For water filling and geating there is a principle that a working time of the pump is programmed in the periodwhen the path 6 (hydrostop-thermostop) is not activated and the heating is not on. This theory correspondsto the fact, that the quantity of pumped chemical substance is given by the time only, which means, that inthe period of switching on the pump the advance of the programming card must not be stopped.The pump always goes on after the water in the washer reaches its level, which enables filling of a chemicalsubstance into the washing bath and not to the dry linen or the drum. I other cases it is necessary to avoidthe stop of the programming card in the time of switching on the pump. This would distort the amount ofsupplied chemical substances. For example: at rinsing action the pump is to be programmed after theprogram runs out from the hydrostop path (6).

4.13. SPRAYINGON RIGID MOUNTED AND NON-CABINET MACHINES YOU CAN PROGRAM PATHS FOR WORM AND COLD SHOWER, ENABLING EFFICIENT REMOVAL OF WASHINGSUBSTANCES.
Spraying is a technological procedure during which a clean warm or cold water is supplied by a jet throughthe front glass of the door into the space of the drum. The water is sprayed onto linen, soaks in, thusenables an efficient removal of remaining washing substances from the laundry.
The sprayer is programmed in paths 21(cold shower) and 22 (warm shower) in such way, that the beginningof the cut is always simultaneously with the path of spinning (19) and spraying must end at least 1 divisionprior the end of spinning in order to remove efficiently the residual moisture from the laundry.
In case of the final spinning with high revolutions, there is possible to program the sprayer at a time ofstarting up the spinning (distribution, lower rotations of spinning) i.e.roughly 2-3 divisions.

5. FAULT SITUATION5.1. POWER SUPPLY FAILUREPower supply failure (switching off the main switch or the centralstop) will cause:– opening of the drain valve and thus a draining off of the wash bath– a stoppage of the machine and the program procedureTo continue the program - after the power supply has been restored - fill up washing detergents andcontinue in the interrupted program by switching on the machine.
5.2. OUT OF BALANCE SWITCH SWITCHED OFFON SOFT MOUNTED AND NON-CABINET MACHINES, THERE IS A CHANCE,THAT AN UNEVEN DISTRIBUTION OF THE LAUNDRY IN THE DRUM CANSWITCH OFF THE OUT OF BALANCE SWITCH WHEN MACHINE STARTSSPINNING.
The machine reacts as follows:– the electric motor for spinning switches off– after a safe elapse of time, a reversion occurs and the laundry will be newly distributed– the distribution follows in a selected spin direction, and about 40 sec later the machine goes to start a new spinning– in case of a permanent or repeated unbalance in the drum, the previously described cycle will be repeated but only till
the program from the path 19 - SPIN runs out– during a repeated release of laundry prior a new spinning procedure, the programmer motor is stopped.Check the laundry distribution in the drum, setting of the out of balance switch, or the condition of the shockabsorbers according to "Installation and maintenance manual", check the sewerage or the drain outlet, findthe problem and eliminate it.
5.3. DISCHARGE VALVE FAILUREIf water will not be discharged from the washer within a sufficient time (even prior switching on thespinning), the cycle repeats it self but only till the program runs out from the path. Even if the washing bathis not discharged, the other program steps continue.When washing bath has not been drained off, check its temperature and machine parts before opening thedoor.
WARNINGIF TOO HOT, DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR. BURN OR SCALD HAZARD!Check the condition of the discharge valve, sewerage or drain outlet, find out the problem and eliminate it.
