I started by making a simple layout. The red blocs help to separate the page into three sections: The title at the top, contents list on the left hand side and main magazine pages on the right. This layout was typical of other magazine contents pages I had seen during my research so I adapted it to my own.
I used a lot of red to link to the front cover, keeping to the theme of my magazine. I also used the same font for the title as I did for the masthead on the front cover.
I have tried to use one main font and size for text to keep to a house style. "Revision driving you cuckoo" is written in a different font as it is the main section of this months edition. I would like to have used the same font as I had used for "Stop exam stress" on my front cover to create a bond between the cover and contents page, but I was unable to re-find the font.
