Deadlines

Submit at least three completed chapters 6 weeks before graduation for an initial review.

Submit Final Draft at least 2 weeks before graduation.

See next slide for submission instructions.

Submission

Your thesis is submitted to Thesis Processing via your own thesis SharePoint site. You will receive your SharePoint address via e-mail. If you lost or never received the e-mail, contact the SharePoint department at spresearch@nps.edu.

To access SharePoint, you must download a program called Cisco AnyConnect, which logs you into the NPS Virtual Private Network. Download the software from the NPS technology website.

Once connected to the network, go to your SharePoint site. In the username prompt, enter “ERN/” before your user name: ERN\username.

Upload your thesis to your SharePoint site.

Click the submit link at the top of your site to submit your paper for initial review and be assigned a thesis processor.

Formatting Your Thesis

Download the thesis template from our website. The template contains all instructions and styles you need to format your paper. Your thesis processor can answer any questions you may have.

Before you begin, set up your Microsoft Word program as outlined in the “Template Setup” document on our website.

Designate the file you upload to SharePoint as your “master file,” to ensure that you and your thesis processor always work on the same file.
