Swagatham!
Dear Sir / Madam.
Greetings from the Kerala Chapter of Indian Chest Society !
As you may be well aware, NAPCON 2019, the 21st Joint National Conference of the Indian Chest Society and the National College of Chest Physicians is all set to be organised in Kochi Kerala from the 21st to 24th of November. The theme of the conference is “Today’s Research is tomorrow’s practice”. The organising team is delighted to extend cordial invitation to one and all involved in the practice and research of pulmonary medicine and eagerly awaits to welcome you to Kochi, at the heart of God’s own country. With increasing atmospheric pollution and global warming, the incidence of respiratory diseases has been steadily increasing. The incidence of COPD and lung cancer have been rising to such an alarming extent that many national scientific forums have echoed the necessity of a respiratory revolution for India. The national conference intends to cater to the academic needs of the astute researcher, busy clinician and budding post graduate student alike and allows a platform for dissemination and sharing of updated clinical knowledge. The scientific team has been immensely focused to ensure that topics of contemporary relevance are given utmost importance and forums allow ample exchange of thought process between faculty and delegates. The conference will witness state of the art workshops, didactic lectures on core topics, panel discussions on key areas, pro-con debates on controversial aspects and lot more. International and national faculty with special interest in subspecialties will anchor the sessions and moderate discussions. To encourage adequate participation from budding trainees, free paper sessions have been devised on multiple topics.
Kerala has traditionally been a dream destination to the exploring tourist. To add extra- academic colours to the conference, we have an immensely ambient waterfront venue perched on 26 acres of plush green land on the serene Bolgatty Island borderling the Vembanad lake / Arabian sea. Kerala is well known for pristine beaches, calm backwaters, greenery covered hill stations and pious shrines. The Kochi culinary is a judicious blend of exotic seafood, spice rich curries and mouthwatering desserts.
We have ensured that the conference will be informative and enjoyable to delegates and accompanying persons alike. We look forward to welcome you in Kochi.
