WEEK 1:

Setting the Stage for Positive Change• Get the family on board — everyone is going to try new foods

• Reorganize your pantry to ensure healthy stuff becomes more reachable

• Create “The List” of all the foods your picky eaters like

WEEK 3:

Transform Kids' Picky Palates• Serve variations per “The List”

• Start “Taste Test Books” where your kids can rate their foods

• Make the same meal for everyone

WEEK 5:

Swap In Healthier Foods• Dessert swap — making dessert healthier

• Veggie choice — adding a second veggie to the table

• Crutch foods — creatively limiting your kids' standby favorite foods

WEEK 7:

Tackle Breakfast and Snacks• Breakfast — protein, complex carbs and vitamins

• Snacks — two solid snacks a day

WEEK 2:

Family Dinner Reboot• Set a mealtime routine

• Keep mealtimes positive (example: Kids can tell a fun story)

• Create "Daily Victory File" to record setbacks and victories

WEEK 4:

Create Food Awareness• Field trip to farm or farmers market

• Nutrition fun — teach your kids basic nutrition facts

• The Sugar Game — help kids discover the amount of sugar in a food

WEEK 6:

Healthier Meal Makeovers• Hook and Goal — create healthier variations of their favorite foods

• Introduce the Progressive Swap

• Menu planning — everyone gets a chance to plan a day

WEEK 8:

Don't Forget the Fun!• Do something fun and physical

• Make a recipe with your kids

• Review progress, including successes and failures so far
