TITLE: NEW TECHNOLOGY

Mercedes Benz F-CELL

The Invisible car

The Mercedes Benz company first founded in 1926, in Germany. And founder is Karl Benz. Mercedes-Benz traces its origins to Karl Benz's creation of the first petrol-powered car, the Benz Patent Motorwagen, financed by Bertha Benz and patented in January 1886, and Gottlieb Daimler and engineer Wilhelm Maybach's conversion of a stagecoach by the addition of a petrol engine later that year.

The Mercedes automobile was first marketed in 1901 by Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft. The first Mercedes-Benz brand name vehicles were produced in 1926, following the merger of Karl Benz's and Gottlieb Daimler's companies into the Daimler-Benz company.

In 2012

Engineers of Mercedes use LEDs and a camera to create an Invisible car.

This is Mercedes Benz F-CELL

A Mercedes-Benz F-CELL car can travel up to 250 miles using an electric engine equivalent to 134 horsepower. While Mercedes-Benz claims to be ready to ramp up production on hydrogen-powered automobiles, the cost of production is still extremely high.

How it works: The camera shoots video on the passenger side of the car and the video is displayed in real time on the driver side. It can also be lit up with a pattern or message.

Mind blowing: Using optical camouflage technology boffins at Mercedes Benz created an illusion. While Mercedes-Benz claims to be ready to mass produce hydrogen-powered vehicles, the cost of production is still prohibitive.

Scientists have now figured out how to make an entire car invisible

See though: Scientists covered the driver's side of the car in mats of LEDs, and mounted a digital SLR camera on the opposite side of the vehicle

Preparation: Mercedes-Benz engineers kit out the car with LEDs

Ingenious: The approach originally pioneered by scientists at the University of Tokyo works on the same principles of the blue screen used by TV weather forecasters and Hollywood filmmakers.
