Preface
Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to invite you to the Workshop on nutrition and microbiome in allogeneic haematopoietic stem cell transplantation, held on November 8th and 9th 2019 in Regensburg . Despite the increasing knowledge of the essential role of the microbiome on outcome of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, clinical practice has not significantly changed during the last decades . Moreover, clinical practice varies considerably between transplant centers based on local expertise and resources . The workshop aims to provide a comprehensive overview on the recent insights into the role of the microbiome and nutrition on the outcome of transplantation joining basic science and clinical practice . Based on the contributions, guidance will be provided for state of the art clinical care acknowledging the limitations of currently available evidence .
The workshop is organized by the Falk Foundation e .V .
We are looking forward to welcome you in RegensburgM . Edinger A . Gessner H . Greinix W . Herr E . Holler D . Wolff
