Revise the following sentences.Karen S Wright

2.This book contains a significant amount of information on art in history because without a knowledge of art history, one may find it difficult to discern the principles of art which are clearly crucial to the understanding of the aspects of art today.

3. Although she was in a family way, she continued in the fulfillment of her familial and employment responsibilities.

4. During that time period, many people who were car buyers preferred cars that were large in size and bright color but not of a cheap quality.

Whenever you present any kind of listing in formal or academic writing, whether it is a formatted list such as an outline or just a series of items in a sentence, all items should be in the same grammatical form.

5. The last decades of the nineteenth century through the early decade of the twentieth century marked a period when Americans confronted rapid industrialization, a communications revolution, and big business was growing.

6. All addictions are characterized by compulsion, loss of control, there are negative consequences, and people deny they’re addicted.

Person, which indicates to whom a sentence refers, is denoted mainly by pronouns. The first- person pronouns I, me, we, and us refers to the writer. The second-person pronoun you refers to the reader or listener. The third-person pronouns he, him, she, her, they and them refer to people being written about. Be careful when making shifts in person.

7. You should start writing a paper well before the deadline; otherwise, one may end up doing it at the last minute.

8. We were hoping to get tickets to the concert, but the line was so long you had no chance.

9. Anyone who weaves in or out of traffic is endangering their fellow drivers.

Writers today are under time pressure and some are not willing to spend valuable time reviewing what they have written; however, it is important to their reader to make their writing as clear and concise as possible.
