1 • Using the Be-Cards ask each director to select the top three cards that will make the

board more dynamic. Share it and talk about the importance and the meaning.

2 • Understand the framework on effective decision making process; specifically on the

importance of each member learning, understanding and practicing the 4 roles.

3 • Watch the 12 Angry Men as it pertains to the trust making and trust breaking behaviors

as well as four roles in the effective decision making process.

4 • Analyze the movie by discussing behaviors of each jury member and discuss the roles

that were played out effectively and those that were not played out effectively.

5 • Ask each board member to identify their dominant roles. Talk about the importance and

the benefits on learning, understanding, and practicing all four roles.

6 • Using the Be-Cards identify the behaviors that each board member needs to improve to

become more skilled in each of the four roles.

8 • Practice by assigning specific roles to each board member so that each board member

can become more proficient in each of these roles.

1 hour Exercise Identify which role is the most dominant and which one is the least used. Using the Be-Cards identify behaviors that is needed for each of the roles.
