The increase in public demand for energy creates the need for Energy Saving and Energy Management procedures.Utilities can lower cost by reading meters remotely, charging according to time of use or according to level of power used, automating power failure recovery and lowering the investments in new power stations. Two products are under development:

1. HomePlug C&C-ZigBee bridge, an end-user module that will transparently bridge the HomePlug C&C and ZigBee networks to create an integrated single virtual control network. When appropriately used within the HPCC/ZigBee networks, all the wireless devices are brought into the line of sight of each other irrespective of the geographical distribution of these devices in a home or building.

2. Unified PLC-ZigBee network (Y-Net and PLC-802.15.4 Module) YITRAN’s long term goal is to become a COMMAND CONTROL company by supplying technologies in the W/L space as well.

Combining ZigBee technology with PLC will be the perfect solution to cover home needs for Command and Control.
