Purpose

�  Tocomparetheclinicaloutcomesofpatientswithmoderateosteoarthritiswhoundergoanall-insidemeniscusrootrepairtechniqueversusnonoperativemanagementforeithermedialorlateralmeniscusroottears

MaterialsandMethods

�  Patientsdiagnosedwithaposteriormeniscusroottearwhounderwentarthroscopicrepair(AR:30knees)ornonoperativetreatmentwithobservation(O:18knees)werefollowedforaminimumof2years(meanfollow-up,4.4years)

�  Thearthroscopicrepairincludedall-insidesuturestoreducetherootbacktoitsremnant(reductionsutures),therebyre-tensioningthemeniscus,and1mattresssuturetostrengthentherepairbyreapproximatingtheconstructtotheposteriorcapsule
