Media Plan:The media plan was utilized throughout Abu Dhabi with a heavy concentration on outdoor, radio and print advertising. The main objective of the media plan was event awareness throughout the community. Our print advertising had a greater reach with readership throughout the UAE. The media plan was utilized with high success and is recommended to continue in following editions. Suggestions for the future would include more media partnerships for event awareness and more visitor reach beyond Abu Dhabi.
Email Campaign: An extensive marketing campaign was created for exhibitor promotions. Using Informa’s database we were able to target potential visitors and supply them with information about participating in the event. The response rate to the emails was very positive and it is recommended that a similar campaign is developed in 2015. More development needs to be done on a structure of approaching international companies to exhibit. This will be essential in 2015, attracting international names that encourage visitor interest.
Show Guide:The show guide was a full catalogue which included all elements of the conference and exhibition. The show guide was well received by exhibitors with their biography and logo included in the guide supplied to all exhibitors. Additional marketing add-ons should be sold to all exhibitors prior to the event (roll-ups, preferential logo position etc.) to increase revenue.
Sales Team – Phone CallsThe sales team actively contacted potential exhibitors and invited them to participate in the event. This is a personable way to explain the format of IFCE and the no-cost participation structure. Additional sales team resources are recommended in 2015 to continue with this direct form of marketing the event. Sales Team – International VisitsThe sales team travelled to the UK and India to Franchise events to recruit exhibitors. This was a very effective way of attracting leads through face-to-face contact and was highly effective. Similar visits are recommended in 2015 to grow exhibitor interest.
Sales Brochure:A sales brochure was created for the sales team to take to meetings as a point of reference. The brochure includes important information as well as key conference speakers, sectors of focus and mages from last year. It is suggested that in 2015 we include some post show statics. (reference: how much business was done, how many visitors, job titles of visitors etc.)

Visitor Ticket: A 4 page brochure was created and mailed to the visitor target audience. Using the Informa database of very important contacts we were able to attract the key industry names to the event. The brochure included important show information, conference speakers and show features. The response of the ticket was significant with many people bringing the ticket with them to the event for registration.
Full Show Website:A full show website was created. This unique website was created with the goal of proving as much information as possible to all visitors, delegates and visitors as well as the media. The website with multiple tabs is very informative and easy to navigate. The show website will continue to operate until 2015 with more features added including a full show image gallery, visitor / exhibitor testimonials and show video.
VIP Invitation: A VIP invitation was created and distributed to the top ADC contacts. This was an effective way to attract industry to attend the event. We also supplied an online VIP registration form which gave us an opportunity to capture the details of VIP contacts. The VIP invitation is recommended in 2015 although it should be supplied to more contacts for greater visitor interest.
SMS:A full SMS campaign was developed for IFCE. The campaign was highly effected with many visitor conversions coming from pre-registration from SMS. It is suggested that we still use SMS in 2015 to promote the event, generate awareness and encourage pre-registration.
Social Media:Social media was handled by the Abu Dhabi Chamber with content provided by Informa. It Is suggested in the future we allocate budget towards digital marketing with re-marketing a focus of our campaign. The IFCE website is very strong and remarketing would work efficiently to promote visitor/exhibitor attendance.

Email Campaign: The email campaign was a great success with our target visitor database. Due to Informa’s extensive database we were able to segment our data and attract key visitors and delegates who would be interested in setting up a franchise in Abu Dhabi. Emails were sent bi-weekly with frequency increasing closer to the event. Open rates were consistently high and click rates to visitor registration attracted an impressive pre-registration number of close to 2,000. Although not all pre-registered visitors (reached through email) were able to attend the event the event awareness and word of mouth from the email campaign proved effective. Recommendations for the future include English and Arabic messaging, altering messaging to be more attractive for top investors and focusing a completely separate campaign on delegate (conference) promotion to ensure there is a distinction between these types of visitors.
Tele-Reminding:The Informa tele-reminding team commenced a e3 week tele- reminding program that aimed to personally invite VIP contacts, remind visitors who have pre-registered and attract new interest. The tele-reminding team was very successful at promoting interest and generating event awareness. This would be recommended to be continued in 2015 with an English and Arabic speaker. It was very effective for both delegate (conference) registration and visitor registration.
Public Relations: Although ADC had their own PR team we also thought it was important to conduct a question and answer with ADC to generate event awareness. The article was published in a several publications and will be very useful through sales/marketing in 2015. It should be used through email marketing as much as possible and should be added to the website as soon as possible.
Show Guide:The show guide was a full catalogue which included all elements of the conference and exhibition. The show guide was well received by visitors with limited supplies left. The show guide should be the same format in 2015 although it would be favourable if there was more advertisements as we had several blank badges. This would be a good way to generate more revenue.
Registration:The registration process was very successful. Info Salons were very reliable and eager to make sure the visitor experience continued to be positive. With registration terminals for each type of visitor, the visitor flow worked very well and the queue length was always maintained to a minimum. The gold VIP badges were also very well received and suggested for future editions.
Marketing:Visitor Ticket mailed to 10,000+ UAE contacts
Media Campaign Goal: High visibility + event
Media Plan: Flags
