1910START FOR CRUISE in the Region by “Seedinst Ostpreusse”

In 1910, Consul Erich Haslinger, together with the ship owner Hagap, established new cruise company "Seedinst Ostpreusse" ("East Prussian Maritime Service") and organized high-speed passenger line Swinemünde-Pillau. He proved the economic feasibility of the passanger line to the Ministry of Transport of the countryAnd the Ministry presented to the company four vessels with displacement from 2225 to 6200 tons, 1200-2000 passenger seats. Other ship owners from Germany joined to this route.

Economic growth for the CityA sea ferry terminal of the late 30's
Later, until the Second World War, the City and Region was connected by passenger lines with: Kiel, Travemünde, Swinemünde, Warnemünde, Sopot, Memel (now Klaipeda), Liepaja, Tallinn, Helsinki.
Through the port of Pillau passed from 1,400 to 2,000 people per vessel. The vessels also carried cars. Thus, the problem of the passenger communication between Germany and Prussia and other countries of the world was solved. Passengers landed at the sea railway station in the city center and then by rail they went deep into the mainland, to the resorts of the Baltic Sea and the spit Fishe Nerung.

Терминал будет подключен к существующему газопроводу в районе Калининградского подземного хранилищагаза (ПХГ), что даст возможность как направлять газ потребителям области, так и закачивать его в хранилище.Процесс регазификации СПГ будет осуществляться на плавучей регазификационной установке (ПРГУ). Терминалобеспечит возможность подачи газа потребителям Калининградской области в объеме до 2,7 млрд куб. м газа в год.
