Poisson Characteristics
Expected no. of occurences are assumed to be constant throughout the experiment : This is something we got to assume . During the 15-minute period we expect 10 customers . So , we kind of assume those 10 customers arrived on line evenly. But , in real life , that may not be the case.
In our type of queueing problems , there will be a Constant arrival rate or a constant service rate.
An example of Constant Service Rate is the Automatic Car Wash When u drive your car into a car wash , the car moves akong the car wash at a const speed , and every car goes through it it at the same speed ; In that case , the service of the car wash is constant .
But In the checkout line , People are gonna arrive at different times. But since we are dealing with this interval , it really doesnt matter. We are assuming everyone is arriving at even times.6Poisson Formula

Probability of More than 10 Customers
12Poisson Customer Arrivals (More than 10)
To find the cumulative probability (which is in Purple) , we use the poissoncdf function. The CDF Version (Cumulative) will give the Cumulative probability all the way from 0 upto whatever number we specify )(in this case 10)The PDF version gives us the EXACT probability at any given exact outcome.13Answer Summary
