mechanization and automation. Most of the current manufacturing industry has changed a labor-inten-
sive to technology-intensive industry. And now we are in the forefront of the 4th industrial revolution.
Welding is also transforming into a technology intensive industry. Korea's shipbuilding industry has been
able to achieve tremendous growth while evolving from arc welding to FCAW (Flux Cored Arc Welding),
but it still has a long way to go with complete mechanization and automated welding. Many companies
believe that current technology can not implement mechanized, automated welding.
However, we have been developing automatic welding methods that can be used easily and quickly by
anyone in various industrial fields for many years.
As a result, we have secured a mechanized/automated solution that can take advantage of competitive
labor markets with developing countries.

Gap (2-3 mm) is required for backside bead
formation. Since additional processing is nec-
essary after cutting the material, many equip-
ment, manpower, and time are required.
No additional machining is required after cut-
ting the material. There is no gap so it makes
almost no thermal deformation, a constant
welding quality can be secured, and welding
quality can be greatly improved.

Conventional GTAW and FCAW relies on all the

Plasma arc welding is similar to tungsten inert gas welding but is a more sophisticated technique.
Insert the electrode into a copper nozzle to create a pilot arc and connect it to the base metal to create
a heat source. Due to the latest plasma technology from WOW Metal, our automated plasma arc weld-
ing process will provide cost effective and high productivity for today's highly sophisticated industrial
environments.
Our automated plasma arc welding process is optimized to continuous precision automated manu-
facture procedure, and it has deep weld penetration with less heat affected areas to make less defect,
high productivity, more efficient than any other welding technique.

welding makes easy to control the quality and
shorten the delivery time.

Comparison
Process needs GTAW first pass to form the base
layer(20~30min) and cool off to prevent heat de-
formation, for final pass must need 3 or more
passes to build final layers(Grinding and peeling
is necessary)
The PAW completes the welding in a single pass,
so no further work is required. No cooling time is
required since thermal deformation is minimized.
The time required for welding the same base ma-
terial as the conventional method takes only 3
minutes.(No need to grinding and peeling)
