DESCRIPTION

We take it in turn to present something we are interested in and/or passionate about with the rest of the digital team at work. We dubbed the event miniTED and I did one at the end of 2008 about Playing games - finally uploading it here.I had also brought a big bunch of board / card / role-playing games and spread them all on the board room table, which looked very cool.

What are games?

Of course the game is rigged. Don't let that stop you--if you don't play, you can't win.

Robert Heinlein

If life doesn't offer a game worth playing, then invent a new one.

Anthony J. D'Angelo

Money was never a big motivation for me, except as a way to keep score. The real excitement is playing the game.

Donald Trump

God does not play dice with the universe; He plays an ineffable game of his own devising, which might be compared, from the perspective of any of the other players, to being involved in an obscure and complex version of poker in a pitch dark room, with blank cards, for infinite stakes, with a dealer who won't tell you the rules, and who smiles all the time.

Terry Pratchett
