• Bellavista school is located in Les Franqueses del Vallès at approximately 30 km north from Barcelona.

• The school has approximately 500 pupils from 3 to 12 years old.

• All the pupils are from the surrounding area .

• 20 per cent of the students in the school are immigrants from Morocco, Senegal,Gambia and South America.

PLANT CLASSIFICATION

• There are many ways of classifyingplants.

• The simplest way of classifying plants isby the size of their stems.

• There are three types according to thesize of their stem:

Trees have got a thick, hard stem called a trunk.

Tree branches are high, never grow closeto the ground

Bushes have got a short, hard stem

Branches grow out of the stem closeto the ground

Grasses have got a soft, flexible steminstead of a trunk.

They don’t havebranches
