Saturn’s Location

• There are nine planets in our Solar System.

• Saturn is the 6th planet from the Sun.

Size of Saturn• Saturn is the second largest planet in the

Solar System.

• It is 74,130 miles around Saturn’s equator.

• This graph shows a comparison between all the planets. Showing Saturn’s low density.

Saturn’s Rotation

• A day on the planet Saturn is only 10 hours and 39 minutes.

• Because of Saturn’s fast rotation, the planet is visibly flattened at the poles.

• It takes 29.5 Earth years to revolve about the Sun.

Interesting Facts about Saturn

• The Great White Spot is a storm that goes completely around the planet.

• Saturn has extreme winds, up to 1,100 miles per hour.

• Saturn is considered to be a Gas Giant because it is composed mostly of hydrogen and helium.

• Saturn has the lowest density of all the planets - it is light!!!
