PLANET-3 Project

Purpose: to improve life quality by assisting all people to acquire environmental education, ESD and improving their awareness and knowledge of environmental protection for healthy life.

OBJECTIVES:

To raise awareness on basic knowledge/information on the WMfor a better living environmentTo motivate all concerned to take collective actions for WMTo motivate all concerned to use local version of PLANET- 3 in their respective programmesTo enhance literacy skills of NFE learners who are involved in this project

TARGET GROUPS80 Formal schools in rural and urban area (school children, school principals, head masters, social workers and teachers)360 NFE “Enlightenment” centers (Out-of-school children, adolescents and adults) NFE methodologists/facilitators (30 persons)40 NGOs

EXPECTED OUTCOMES

To produce learning materials easy to understand on the environmental protection never produced before for all age people, school drop-out children, even for school children, and to be distributed to all secondary schools and NFE “Enlightenment”Centres

To set up possibility to conduct training through NFE “Enlightenment” Centres based on local examples

EXPECTED OUTCOMES

To increase public awareness, understanding knowledge of EE, ESD and decrease environmental pollutionTo increase NFE personnel capacity on EETo set up ESD Network and training materials productionTo reform and revise curricula and standards of all education level for ESD. Setting up the policy on the EE
