Here is the website/software that I used to create my first poster draft – Pixlr.com

In order to start my poster Draft I had to go onto the website pixlr.com, once on the website I had an option to either get an image from my computer file or from my webcam.

I selected an image from my computer file, when I found the image that I was looking for I selected open and the image because the main object on the screen.

Here is the stage where I’m able to add an effect to image , there were many different effects available I looked at most of them and selected one which was called “ hagrid” tis effect made my image look slightly bright and also more polished and shiny which made it look clearer then it was.

The second stage of creating my poster draft consisted of different types of filters which enhanced my image , I chose the filter bur because it made my image look brighter and burnt . The idea of the colours orange and red emerging together links strongly to my film genre horror. The colour connotes fire which also connotes danger and blood it reveals the personality of the character.

Here I chose not to include a border , I selected none If I selected a border it would have made my poster draft look unprofessional .

To start adding text to my image I had to move to pixrl express.

I didn’t include any effects/ borders on my image because I thought it would look unprofessional.

I selected the text font which was called after shock. To select the colour I wanted for my masthead I clicked on the colour square a picked a colour that would suit my film gere and alert the audiences looking at my poster , I chose the colour red as it connotes danger and shows to my audience that it is a serious film.

I was experimenting with my tagline and fonts and to do this I had to choose different fonts.

For my preferred tagline I used this font because It was very different and it revealed parts of my characters personality and behavior , white connotes boldness and it is also a natural colour which contrasts well with other colours.

This is how I got the font for my Credits I had to make it very small To conform the convention of films posters in general.

Here is my final draft for my poster.
