My girlfriend and I could go upstairs and do our homework. �e nuns didn’t like that we worked there because some of the shows were a bit risqué.”

Omar Khayyam (Khalil’s)“a Middle Eastern restaurant that I would go to with fellow students only on very special occasions. My initiation into exotic food, having grown up on 1950s American. It was lush with carpets and drapedtextiles, dark. �e food was fabulous!”
